Better off (un)dead when you meet the Dead Rider

When the Dead Ride appears, there is only death on his trail. It is said that souls of his unfortunate victims can be observed on his long dark cape. Nobody knows for sure who or what the Dead Rider is, nor where he came from. Perhaps for human minds it is better not to know the answer. 

It is better to be dead than to face this terrifying entity...or at least to be an undead when meeting him.
